The Bubble has BURST
I live in a-typical small town USA. aka: "The Bubble". aka: "Sparkletown". Nothing bad ever happens here.. it's freaking Plesantville, no really! I swear to you there are days I still see women around here in heels, pearls and a dress vacuuming! (OK that might be a stretch, but you get the picture.)
Then today THIS happened. The bubble has burst! This took place about 6 blocks from our house.. 2 blocks from my kids elementary school.
Makes me long for the old days when someone mooning you at school was the worst thing that happened.
My heart goes out to the families.. this hit a little too close to home.

OMG - that is horrible!
So sad! It's scary how troubled people are these days and how they choose to deal with it.
I'm so sorry, that is so sad. It is such a cliche, but it really is true that things like this can happen anywhere.
slc is right; people these days make crazy choices. They seem to act without any form of thought or control. Hope the girl get better soon; she had a lucky escape.
And this is probably just a (very sad) isolated incident, and not a sign of a neighbourhood in trouble. Try not to worry.
